Overview

CheckPay ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify app that helps merchants manage and reorder payment methods at checkout. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle information when you install and use our app.

Information We Access

When you install CheckPay, we receive access to your store's basic information through the Shopify API — including your store URL and the access token needed to configure payment customizations. We do not collect personal data from your customers.

How We Use Information

Information is used solely to deliver the functionality of CheckPay — customizing and reordering payment methods at checkout. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for any purpose.

Data Retention & Deletion

App configuration data is stored securely and retained only while the app is installed on your store. Data deletion is handled automatically through Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:

• Shop data erasure — when you uninstall CheckPay, Shopify sends a webhook and all data associated with your store is permanently deleted within 48 hours.
• Customer data erasure — when a customer requests deletion of their data through Shopify, we receive a webhook and remove any associated records automatically.
• Customer data requests — when a customer requests a copy of their data, Shopify notifies us via webhook so we can respond appropriately.

No manual request is needed — these processes are handled automatically in compliance with Shopify's privacy requirements.

Third-Party Services

CheckPay runs entirely within the Shopify platform. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's own Privacy Policy. We do not use any additional third-party services that process your data.
